My First Year Teaching Tantra

It's just a few days before the end of 2022 and everyone is posting what they did this year. Each time I look back on this year I almost cry. I have transformed so much from what I began this year as. In January, I was bright-eyed and bushy tailed little student. Just graduated from my Tantra Teacher training in Greece. I had an idea of where to start, but on a more real level I had no idea what I was doing. I just created a business, then went to talk to the only lady I knew who had a workshop room. Tasha (the owner of Mystic MVMT) was so excited for me to start having workshops. We picked a date for my first workshop at that very first meeting. February 11, 2022.

I prepared for weeks for my first workshop! I calculated almost 20 hours of work just on that single workshop. I practiced until I knew it all. I relaxed into knowing. And I went out and taught GLOW - Tantric Energy Work. At the end of that workshop I cried, knowing that this is exactly what I wanted to do with my life. Before I left Mystic MVMT that night I signed up for my second workshop. After that one, I signed up for my third, then fourth, then...

It kind of became a blur as I got into the thick of it. I went from 1, 2, 3 workshops to 35 workshops this year! THIRTY FIVE WORKSHOPS! That's so many! It's been blowing my mind! So, I wanted to share this all with you. I want to celebrate my journey, because celebrating is the one thing that will keep you from getting burned out! So, buckle up as I bask in my celebrations! You'll probably feel excited and want to go out and celebrate your journey! Some of you might feel jealous. This is ok! Jealousy points you in the direction of what you truly want.

Wow! I am fucking celebrating that I've done something incredible in this past year with my business and my growth! Because every single one of those workshops I was the biggest student. I learned the most by learning to teach it. So, change that "students taught" number to 305 baby! I can think of nothing else I want to do more than sell out all my workshops so that I can continue to spread the bliss of the present moment to even more students next year!

I'm also celebrating some personal situations of this year. I was single for the first time in 14 years this year. And while single, I took two solo road trips! I went to Shambhala music festival all by myself. I broke my own personal record by making out with 13 dudes in 3 days there, then got covid! I'm celebrating that I attended Buring Man for the first time this year, AND I went solo! And I taught workshops there! And I brought back one of those workshops to give here (Dark Goddess Rising!).

And to top it all off, I'm no longer single. Another first for me this year is that I got back together with an ex. We broke up in January and got back together in December. I spent almost a year single and learned so many beautiful things about myself. I learned how to be alone and not lonely. I learned how much I enjoy my own company. I felt what it was like to not have to check in with anyone. I did what I wanted, when I wanted to! And at the end of the day, I decided that it's ok to want to be in partnership, too.

My ex, Joe, had a lot to work on when he became single. He had a lot to unpack still about his childhood and what being worthy meant. And when I broke up with him he took that to heart. He put in the work. And right in front of my eyes he transformed and grew. In January we were blown apart, but through the next 6 months we were drawn closer together. Intentionally single but working on ourselves next to each other. The relationship that we have now is built on so much trust and vulnerability. After we broke up, we had nothing else to hide from. It was all on the table. And I'm so proud to be back together with him. I think it takes work to build a life together and we just showed each other how much work we were willing to do. I'll never forget that.

So, yes, I'm celebrating the fuck out of my business! And, yes, I'm celebrating my personal life! But at the end of the day, I'm just celebrating me. The all-encompassing me. I'm reprogramming my body and mind for 2023, where undoubtedly many new things will change and transform. And there's no one else I'm happier to do it with than... me.

INSPIRED ACTION: Celebrate you! Out loud to other people! Call someone and tell them you want to share some celebrations with them, and you want them to share some with you! The best way to not get burned out or to keep a habit is to keep celebrating it!
